We gather to build confidence in early motherhood by offering group discussions, Q&A sessions led by a mom of three and doula, presentations from guest speakers, and connection to other moms in the same season of life. We want to celebrate your victories and offer warm advice and validation during difficult times in a nonjudgemental, safe space. No question is too silly or too small, and motherhood might not be as perfectly simple as you envisioned. We are in this together, and hopefully you will gain a new sense of self, reassurance, and a new mom friend or two!
Moms in Need
Common Education and Discussion Topics
Our hottest topic whether you are bottle or breastfeeding. Discuss common feeding questions, breast health, and share personal experiences or challenges. We also offer the opportunity to weigh your baby after a feeding.
Feedings
Whether your are trying to find the right swaddle, learn about the Eat-Play-Sleep routine, safe sleep practices, normal sleep behavior, wake windows, or commiserating in the lack of our own, we tackle it all.
Sleep
Learn about resources that are available in our community for mental health and differentiate what is “expected,” vs. what is alarming or difficult. Discuss your physical recovery, and normalize the reality of the bounce back we are all hoping for.
Your Physical and Mental Recovery
Partner back at work? Planning your own return? Wondering how to pump, navigate childcare, perfect the work life balance? Trying to maintain friendships, clean the house, exercise, and cook? You are not alone.
Navigating Your New Reality
You are not alone
Come as You Are
No frills, no expectations, other than to be yourself. Bring a blanket to sit on, and maybe pillow for feeding comfort.
Babies Welcome
Babies cry, we aren’t worried. This group makes most sense for moms of babies under 4 months old.
Any Mom, Anytime
Whether this is your first or fifth baby, you deserve this community and support. Drop into as many sessions as you like.

Meet Our Host, Amber Knowles
I am a mom of three, a birth and postpartum doula, a childbirth educator, and a perinatal mental health specialist in training. One of my deepest core memories of becoming a mother was being invited to a new moms group. I remember being uncertain if I was ready to leave the house, let alone drive with my baby, but that task in and of itself taught me a confidence and routine that I grew incredibly fond of. I made new friends, and these women were also navigating something completely new to them. We were open, honest, and safely held by one another as we navigated postpartum challenges. We watched our babies and each other grow in our 12 weeks together, and often continued on with our days with one another over lunch dates, play dates, and on going check ins.
I am so excited to bring a new moms group to the Northwest Side of Chicago. I was born and raised in Portage Park, and welcomed my own babies while living in this neighborhood. I currently live in the Northwest Suburbs and feel Forevermore is a wonderful and easy location for moms from the suburbs and the city to get to alike.
So much of the support that is needed in the 4th trimester can be tricky to initiate when you are living in 2-3 hour increments. I hope this support group helps you find your people, find your resources, and your confidence in motherhood.
